Rips in the fabric of time (called black points) are appearing all over Earth and Z/X from 5 alternate futures are pouring out of them wreaking havoc and destruction! Now, 5 black points have finally appeared in Singapore and it is up to you to pick a side in order to survive or even conquer the world!

Z/X (pronounced as Zet X or Zex), Zillions of Enemies X, is a Japanese trading card game created by the Japanese company, Broccoli in collaboration with Nipon Ichi Software (of Disgaea fame). It's fast paced, tensed and exciting gameplay ensures that both players are kept on their toes as the winner is not determined until the game is over. It is played on a shared field of 3x3 grids where the player displaying superior tactical decision would proof to be the victor! It has an anime series currently in the works soon to be released.

We started this blog into order to allow Z/X tcg (Zillions of enemy X trading card game) enthusiasts in a convenient way to look for and buy cards. We are also trying to promote Z/X tcg to a wider audience by organising tournaments and special events.

The Green World

The Green World
A future where plants are about to swallow everything. All sorts of things have become one with the plants, and humanity itself is a half-parasitic species.

The Inhabitants

Lycanthrope
Common Noun / Race / Green World
In order to adapt to a world overrun by plants, humans inserted biological factors from animals into their bodies, awakening the wild, savage nature within. As a result, they lead lives more close to nature than that of the Hourai. But because the original creatures they drew from range from the cowardly to the savage, their ecology heavily varies, but because their base is that of a human, their intellectual level typically isn't very low and many of them have fairly mild personality. Lycanthropes with a variety of factors such as Wolf, Bear, Cat, and Rabbit, but beings with a variety of biological factors have not been identified yet. The Herbivores oppose the constantly flourishing plants, while the Carnivores oppose the Plasects and several of the Leafers.

Plasect
Common Noun / Race / Green World
Insects with parasitic plants... ... Although it's a form of Cordyceps, a parasitic fungus, it differs from what modern day humans know. These insects have grown to gigantic sizes that betray them being insects. People who don't like insects might completely lose their minds encountering these beasts. Also, they are capable of moving and living with the plant attached. Most of the Plasects are carnivorous, and with an ability to easily mimic the look of plants, they chiefly prey on the Hourai and Lycanthropes. Since Plasects are used to make goods like honey and sap, they are generally seen as beneficial to all humans in the Green World (so they aren't considered pests), and people don't push for a mass extermination. By the way, the Plasects, ultimately are a nursery for the Cordyceps, but tend to be used as part of an antibiotic used by the Hourai to stave off their transformation into plants.

Hourai
Common Noun / Race / Green World
In the Green World, reckless use of Biological Weapons based resulted in plants attempting to swallow up everything, so while accepting their extinction, humanity decided to try and coexist with nature. The side effect of the drugs they used to adapt to the environment is plants growing from their body, such as horn-like branches growing from their head. Hourai are quite knowledgeable in the use of blades and fire, which they need to carve out living quarters, and this talent and training has also resulted in their own unique form of sword-fighting, based and refined on fighting the wild overgrowth of plants. On the other hand, they have adapted their way of life using the plants to their advantage, using it for food, clothing and housing. If you stumble across their villages, which abandoned the quirks of the industrial revolutions, you would feel like you stepped into a present day costume drama, as they show a pronounced Japanese influence.

Leafer
Common Noun / Race / Green World

Unlike the Lycanthropes and Hourai who try to co-exist with nature, Leaders are humans that have been completely taken over by the plants. They are considered to be a long-lived species in general as full assimilation requires a long amount of time. Because they can photosynthesize, they don't need to eat food. Also, as their brains are taken over by the plants, their personalities become extremely cheerful and mischievous. As a result, they spend their very last moments, before entirely becoming a plant, with an optimistic smile. While most of them spend their days playing pranks, there are some who do real damage, such as destroying the farming fields of the Lycanthropes.

Background

The Lindwurm Society
Proper Noun / Future Organization / Green World
An environmental NPO (Non-Profit Organization) based in France that is concerned with global warming and is interested with the afforestation of African deserts. But, the true purpose of the organization's founder is to end war and conflict by making every living thing on the world a plant, which would render everything effectively immortal.

The "Lindwurm Society" grew due to their successes in Plant Biotechnology, was able to afforest deserts, as the plants there could evolve and adapt themselves to the harsh environment, but due to DNA of various parasitic plants having been deliberately mixed into these bio-tech plants, they began to become parasites on all sorts of animals, including insects and humans. As a result all the organisms that lived on the land began to turn into plants (The Leafer-ication of Humanity).

The founder himself eventual turned into the "Great Tree Yggdrasil" that covered the entire Earth, which releases the seeds of his bio-tech plants that continue to further his ideals.

In Europe and the United States, after this plant Bio-Tech went out of control, humans incorporated traits and features of animals into their own bodies to build resistance to the slow corruption of being turned into a plant, resulting in people who returned to a more primal nature (They became the Lycanthropes). In Asia, to prevent their transformation into plants, people extracted the antibodies in the Insects that ha been corrupted by the plants, as a result these people stay closest to their original humanity (The Hourai).

Soma Vaccine
Common Noun / Green World
The seeds of the Bio Plants tend to kill most of the parasitic humans, while the rare few who survive are called Leafers, but such humans driven into this extreme state lose memories of their humanity, so ultimately, transplant experiments were performed on volunteer soldiers of the United Nations, betting everything on transplanting the DNA factors of Insects, who could survive the parasitic plants without dying.

The result was the "Soma Vaccine", which although it had the side effects of turning people into half plant and making them more emotional, it severely stunted the take over of the plants, allowing the human race to be protected from the thread of the Bio Plants.

The Soma Vaccine was mostly cultivated and mass produced in advanced Asian nations, while in Europe and the United States, they took another approach by transplanting the DNA factor of animals that showed general resistance of the Bio Plants' effects into humans, inventing a a different way to counter the effects of the Bio Plants than how Asia went about it.

Future Titles

The Eight Grand Dragon Kings
Common Noun / Future Title / Green World
The general name for the prestigious Hourai families that worship the sacred tree called "Mougi". As proof of one being a part of the Eight Grand Dragon Kings that guard Mougi, they carry weapons made from the branches of Mougi. Since Mougi has long since vanished in the future of the Green World, the families eagerly desire to capture the holy land "Takachico" of the present, where Mougi exists.

Future Organization

Great Tree Yggdrasil
Proper Noun / Future Ecology / Green World
The network of plants that covers the Green World. It is an existence where all is one, and one is all.

The entire Green World is covered in this network of plants, where as the central organism, it is practically immortal and unfading. Due to the network-like nature, it can quickly take on a form to destroy those who who fight against them, manipulating a large number of Bio-Plants and Plasects.
